3D SLP was founded in May 2014 by Amy Kunstle, a registered dietitian and certified speech-language pathologist, in private practice in Pueblo, Colorado. Amy, completed her speech-language training at Northwestern University and returned to her hometown of Pueblo, Colorado to enjoy a successful dual private practice combining her love of nutrition and speech-language pathology. Her enthusiasm and interest in lifetime learning and promoting cross-discipline partnerships was recognized in coordinating and co-hosting three national conferences including: The Art and Craft of Storytelling with Dr. Carol Strong, One Voice, One World with Dr. Edie Hapner, PhD, CCC-SLP, and Marina Gilman, MM, MA, CCC-SLP, Emory Voice Center and iTherapy Revolution with Barbara Fernandes, CEO & Founder, Smarty Ears. She was also the VP of Education for the Colorado Speech-Language Hearing Association in 2008.
3D SLP is part of Amy’s ongoing mission to promote literacy for children by combining the magic of storytelling, through dynamic resources and universal learning design, and the use of technology. Her motivation in founding 3D SLP is also firmly based in the desire to contribute to and honor the profession of speech-language pathology and education by providing quality materials and resources that will help de-stress the professionals engaging in treating an ever more complicated population in demanding scopes of practice.
